The English lake
One day Rachel and Benny were playing in the lake. It was a hot day and they were splashing in the water. Suddenly they heard someone shouting for help. They looked out at the lake. There they saw a man holding onto a pole on the side of a boat. Rachel and Benny shouted to the man that they would call for help. When Rachel and Benny had got the fire brigade and the ambulance the man was holding on with one hand. Rachel ran to the nearest house. She rang the door bell and a big man came to the door. Then Rachel asked the man did he have a brush. He said yes. He gave Rachel the brush. Rachel ran back to the lake. They held onto the brush and told the man to hold onto the other end. The man held onto the other end and they pulled him back to the bank. The man said thank you for saving his life and the ambulance took him away
