My Tracksuit

When I wear my tracksuit,
I feel as fresh as a new car.
I feel like it's a nice hot day in the sun. When I wear it,
I feel like I am about to do something new.
When I wear it,
I feel like fresh air!

Tourism

I would like to propose that we focus on improving our tourist attractions and creating better amusement parks. Perhaps more festivals with the added humour of a Leprechaun Hunt to finish with, would be fun and would attract more tourists.

Education

I propose that all 3rd level fees be abolished therefore; all students that would choose to go to college would be able to go without the burden of fees to pay.

Health

I'd like to propose that MRSA and other Super Bugs be eliminated completely by guaranteeing a more thorough inspected cleaning process be enforced in all hospitals.

Agriculture

I propose that all Irish citizens only buy their fruit, vegetables and dairy products from a local farmer produced market. Also that would be easier and cheaper than driving all the way into a city or town to do your grocery shopping!
Environment
I would like to propose that we all impose a ban on all home heating fuels that harm the environment. We should do research to help find an environmentally friendly way of heating our homes. Also I would like to have a tax on water usage, so people can learn about water conservation and be more aware of how much water they use.

Yours Sincerely,

My Mother - Samantha

My mother is disastrous because she is always trying to cook dinner and Dad has to cook it eventually and then we get a nice dinner.
My mother is the most expensive thing in the world but really she's really priceless!
When she is buying clothes she always gets the best bargain ever.
My mother is very sympathetic because I always fight with my sister and then she hurts me and I just go to my mother and she gives me a big hug!
She is always thoughtful to me because if I'm in a shop and then I say "that toy is class" she would get it the next special occasion.
My mother is very sneaky in a good way because I get loads of sweets at a party and then when I come home from school I notice half of them are gone.
My mother is very skilful at cleaning because every weekend she calls my name and she said do you notice anything different in your room, and I do! It is really clean!

The world Irish Dancing Championship
The world Irish Dancing Championships were held up in Dublin. Thousands of people all over the world were dancing against each other. On Monday Mary Mcaleese said a few words and said "I wish all the dancers who dance today the best of luck", she said. The next day on Tuesday the world championships were going on again for another competition. Lots of more boys and more girls competed against each other on Tuesday as well. Teams like 8 hands and 24 hands competed against each other. The age was from 4 to 14 years old in the teams! In the single dances boys from Australia and all other countries around the world competed against each other. A boy in the age to 12-14 age groups came first. The boy was from Australia. There were about 250 dancing against each other in the boy's age group. In the girl's age group there were about 300 dancing against each other. There were 50 more girls dancing then the boys. A girl all the way from America came first in the girl's age group. One of the dancing schools was called Ann Whelan School. The other school was Bridged Whelan School. The two schools were both put together and were called The Whelan academy. The two schools had students who were dancing in the 8 hands. They did really well and they got called back to do another dance called the (St. Patricks Day). But unfortunately they didn't get through. Another girl called Robin didn't get through to the Championships but she got a recall to do another dance. Everyone who was in the solo competitions got a world champion medal and everyone in the groups got a world champion trophy. The world championships will be held in Belfast next year.

Gray Wolf
A wolf is from the canine family. It is medium - sized. It can hunt large animals in packs.
A wolf looks like a Husky. It can be coloured different shades between black and white.
You can find a wolf in icy and snowy parts of the world like Canada, Northern America and Northern Europe.
In packs wolves hunt large animals like moose, elk, bison and reindeer, but if hunting alone their prey would be rabbits and beavers.
As wolves live together in groups it is important for wolves to be able to communicate with one another. They have a complicated social system.
The howl isn't just a mysterious sound in the night, it sends a message.
If a mother is white it can give birth to black cubs.
Wolves have their own way of life, like any animal and they adapt to their environment.

The Giant Panda
The Giant Panda is the rarest of the bear family and is among the most threatened species of EVERY animal alive.
Its white fur and black spots makes it stand out from the rest. It has a white coat white block spots on its body, ears and on or around its eyes. And under ALL its fur, would you believe, is pink skin!
The Pandas live in the South-Western Mountains of China, about 3,000 metres above sea level. The Pandas mainly live on land but they can climb trees, mountains etc.
Giant Pandas eat Bamboo stalks, shoots, leaves and some grasses. They also eat fruits, shrubs and small animals like birds or rodents.
They can climb trees by hugging the trunk and using their sharp, fierce claws to grip. Giant Pandas communicate by chirps, growls or even honks in winter they don't hibernate like most other animals, the just climb to find a warmer climate.
The Chinese call the Giant Pandas "Big Bear Cats!" A Panda always either sits or lies down to eat, it can't go 5-6 hours without food and it uses 10-16 hours of the day spent EATING!
In 1980 a group called W.W.F (world wide fund) became the first International conservation organisation to work in and near China and they have invested significantly in the Panda Project (P.P) since! Report by Ann O'Donnell

The Gorilla
Gorillas live in North Africa in the rainforest. Gorillas are very intelligent animals.
Gorillas have long strong arms and short stocky legs.
Gorillas live in North Africa in the rainforest.
Gorillas eat leaves, tree bark, root, flower, fruit and grubs.
Gorillas can swing from trees.
Gorillas are the largest living primates. A mature male gorilla can be over 6 feet tall and weigh 300 to 500 pounds and they have 32 teeth.
Gorillas are still hunted for meat and bush meat and trophies in same part of Africa. They are caught in traps set for other animals.
As more and more people take over the land for agriculture logging and other development gorillas have nowhere left to go and are becoming an endangered species.

My Mother's Fashion Show

Today is Friday the 13th of April the night before the fashion show. Isabella & Marguerite are coming for a sleepover (Marguerite might be) .My mother is going to be modelling like she did last year. Last year Mary brought me (the same as this year). But last year Aoife and Laura came but they have a match & they aren't coming this time. I think I'm going to have a lot of fun because Isabella & Marguerite are coming. At the start children model, then the adults do. My Mother is going to be modelling with a man then with a women .There is a raffle and last year I won a prize !.
After the fashion show
There were more than 100 different outfits. My favourite outfit was a long white silk dress with diamonds on one side .First the summer clothes came and then the winter clothes. Before the fashion show there was stalls. Me, Isabella and Marguerite bought a ring holder purse and a big flower with glitter at the petals and it is for our hair. The fashion show was a great night and it is going to be on next year. The fashion show is on in my Mother's school. The fashion show is three and a half hours long.
