Discover Science
- Cappawhite N.S. has undertaken the discover Science programme in the school this school year. To date the senior classes from 3rd through to 6th Class have done a number of experiments.
- Each classroom showed their attempts to the other classroom...be it building bridges, making spinners or even testing absorbancy of different materials.
- We also held a science open day where we invited the junior classes ,the parents and the pupils of St Francis N.S. to come and see what we have learnt . It was a very enjoyable day for all .
- In February we went on a visit to the Irish National Stud which is one of the Discover Science centres in Ireland.
- We have been keeping a log in the school ,which we will send away in May and hopefully Cappawhite N.S. will be awarded the Discover Science Award of Excellence
